It's been about a month since my last post. To be perfectly candid, it's all because I just didn't feel like posting. Sometimes you have to shake up the established order of things to breathe life into whatever it is you do with your time. Anyway, the photos, in no particular order.....
Dolls are displayed in Japan as part of Hinamatsuri, or Girls Day. This house in Gunma, Japan was FILLED with dolls!
The sacred bridge near Nikko, Japan at midnight, backlit by a light on the other side of the river.
The mountains in Nikko, Japan! It was beautiful up there with all the snow. It actually felt like winter! Notice the road in the middle. It's a pretty windy ride to get up and down.
Kiyono found a little snowman, and a lot of cold! That doesn't look like too much fun to hold....
Kegon Waterfall in Nikko, Japan. I believe it was close to 100m tall.
A statue near the top of Mt. Yumihari in Sasebo, Japan. I brought my camera on one of My long runs up and over the peak. I have run by this many times, but never stopped to shoot it until now.
Karl, getting some perspective on the tall trees in the forest between Mt. Yumihari and Mt. Saewaedai.
Karl on the top of Mt. Saewaedai. We had a 360 degree view from the top of this cliff!
Near the top of Mt. Takao. I forget the name of these things, but they are not marshmallows... It's a Japanese rice bread that is really good!
A pool outside of one of the shrines/temples on the way to the summit of Mt. Takao.
Hi Paul, some really nice pictures. I particularly like the backlit bridge- a really nice shot. And the bread looks really good. Of course any picture of Kiyono is a good picture :) Glad to see you are enjoying Japan.
